From the Commander's desk...
As 2023 comes to a close, I think back, we really had a productive year. From the promise of property from the Houston County Commission, to our work and support in the area of PTSD and TBI treatments. I am grateful to the men and women of Post12, and Post 12 families, that have been so engaged in making this the best American Legion Post.
We have gain some new members throughout the year that have absolutely made a huge difference in the direction of our Post. We finally, after many years, can claim forward movement in a positive way. We are helping more veterans than ever before and we are becoming very involved in out community. These are the things we are charged to do. I think of every member as my extended family.
I want to challenge our members as we move into 2024 to become more involved in our Post. We have agreat opportunity to finally have a permanent Post home. A place where veterans know where we are and a where they can come for help. A place where we canbetter serve our local veterans and our community. A place that we can call Home.
Thank you for your continued service,
Lehman Irby - Commander
American Legion Post 12
From the Chaplain's desk...
I am extremely proud of the growth of our Post, and the members that make up the Post. With so many exciting endeavors, include our work with PTSD and TBI treatments, strong recruiting and our committment to serve the veterans of the Wiregrass Area and our community. I am proud of the role I had the opportunity to play as the Chaplain of Post 12, in leading the Post spirtiaully in the past year. While it has been an honor to serve as your Chaplain, it is my pleasure to step aside and allow Adam Marr to take over the reigns.
Join me in welcoming Adam to this position.
Be The one,
D Troy Thomas - Chaplain
